The 1953-S is the most poorly produced franklin half dollar. This example contradicts the norm with full upper AND lower bell lines. A mostly white example with just a light blushing of champagne toning in a few areas and strong cartwheel luster. This half dollar would surely be THE highlight to any Franklin set and a strong compliment to any advanced type set. NGC Reports 12 in this grade, and only 6 finer examples. PCGS reports 26 in this grade with 4 finer; however, the PCGS standard for the FBL designation requires that only the lower band of the bell lines be full, and not the top. NGC requires both!

Returns: 14-day return privilege on numismatic items retained in original packaging. Returns not accepted on coins with prices closely tied to metals markets (i.e. pre-33 gold), or bullion, without prior authorization. Returns will be issued upon receipt and satisfactory inspection of returned items. If the purchase was made with a credit card or Paypal, the 3.5% fee will not be returned.
